PILOT HQ – PIVOT & BARN DOORS
We were approached by Jenkins & Stiles Construction about a cafe remodel at the Pilot Headquarters. Located in Knoxville, the headquarters was undergoing the remodel on campus and wanted to create a barrier between the dining area and the serving area. The rotating pivot doors were a perfect setup creating a wall when closed and locked and a doorway for employees to enter/exit from when the cafe was open for business. These massive doors made from reclaimed local barnwood are extremely easy to rotate even though they weighed 300lbs+ each. Rotating on a single bearing, the doors functioned just as we hoped and achieved the needs of the contractor and client.
